Formed in 1998, Westlife’s rise to pop stardom was meteoric. With smash hits like Swear It Again, Flying Without Wings, You Raise Me Up, and World of Our Own, the Irish quartet sold over 55 million records and amassed 14 UK No. 1 singles

Westlife disbanded in 2012, only to reunite in 2018. Their reunion yielded two studio albums—Spectrum (2019) and Wild Dreams (2021)—and several world tours, proving their enduring global appeal

✨ What’s Happening: New Album & Special Shows

1. A Brand New Album

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, Westlife is releasing a new studio album—titled Love, Loss & Healing—expected in early 2026 (sporthiking.com). The record promises a blend of heartfelt ballads and mature, reflective songwriting, with themes of growth, resilience, and emotional renewal. The band describes it as their most personal yet—a gift to fans who’ve grown with them (sporthiking.com).

Sources hint at collaborations with acclaimed producers and possibly surprise guest artists, marking both a nod to the past and a fresh chapter for the group (sporthiking.com).

2. Royal Albert Hall Spectacular

Kicking off the celebrations, Westlife will perform two orchestral shows at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on October 27 & 28, 2025, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. It will be the band’s first ever appearance at the venue (theatrefullstop.com).

These intimate, theatrical concerts will feature reimagined versions of their greatest hits alongside new material—a stunning orchestral salute to their quarter-century legacy (theatrefullstop.com).

3. World Tour: “Forever” or “Westlife 25”

Following the album launch, Westlife will embark on a world tour starting May 2025, aptly titled Forever Tour or Westlife 25, spanning 50+ cities across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia (halftimenews.co.uk).

Anticipate iconic songs, new music, and occasional surprise guests to keep the celebrations fresh and exciting (sporthiking.com, halftimenews.co.uk).

4. Beyond Music: Exclusive Projects

Westlife isn’t stopping at live shows and an album. They’re reportedly working on:

  • A Netflix documentary chronicling their 25-year journey—from boyband beginnings to global icons (sporthiking.com, halftimenews.co.uk).
  • A deluxe vinyl box set of their classic catalogue, possibly remastered.
  • Intimate “fan‑experience nights” at venues like Dublin’s Olympia, featuring acoustic sets and storytelling (sporthiking.com, sporthiking.com).

💔 Mark Feehily’s Continued Hiatus

Sadly, one of the bittersweet notes in this celebration is the absence of Mark Feehily. In February 2024, Mark stepped away due to severe health complications—including sepsis, pneumonia, a large incisional hernia, and multiple surgeries—and has been recuperating ever since (The Sun).

What we know:

  • His last public appearance was a Pride Month video in June 2024 (The Sun).
  • Fellow members Shane, Nicky, and Kian emphasized the importance of celebrating the milestone, even without Mark, and expressed hope for his future return (The Sun).
  • Fans have responded with a mix of excitement and sorrow—grateful for the celebration, yet deeply miss Mark (The Sun, The Sun).

Mark will not join the Royal Albert Hall shows or the forthcoming world tour, but the band continues to send him love and hopes for a full return (westlifeweb.com).

👥 Fan Reaction & Community

Fans have been openly emotional—thrilled by the festivities yet aching over Mark’s absence. One tearful reaction summed it up: “Westlife isn’t Westlife without Mark. Three just don’t cut it.” (The Sun).

Reddit discussion reflects caring optimism:

“Hope Mark is feeling better and returns strong and healthy… really hope that is the case and we can all see him again soon.” (Reddit)

🗓️ Timeline & What to Watch For

Here’s what the next year looks like:

Timeline Event
May 2025 Launch of world Forever / Westlife 25 tour
October 27–28, 2025 Royal Albert Hall concerts (orchestral)
Early 2026 Release of Love, Loss & Healing album
Mid-late 2026 World tour continuation & deluxe releases
TBA 2025/26 Documentary & vinyl box set

🎵 Legacy Meets Next Chapter

Westlife’s 25th anniversary is more than a celebration—it’s a testament to their resilience, talent, and connection with fans. While Mark’s health journey adds a somber note, the remaining trio remains committed to honoring the band’s legacy and embracing their future.

Through heartfelt new music, lavish orchestral shows, global tours, and personal projects, Westlife is inviting fans—both old and new—to join this milestone celebration. It’s not just nostalgia—it’s renewal.

Stay tuned as details roll out on album dates, tour stops, ticket sales, and documentary trailers. The Royal Albert Hall shows alone promise to be unforgettable—an orchestral homage to a band that has been part of our lives for a quarter-century.
