A new documentary delving into Paul McCartney’s life and musical journey following the dissolution of The Beatles has been acquired by Amazon MGM Studios. Titled *Man on the Run*, the film offers an intimate look at McCartney’s creative resurgence after one of the most iconic band breakups in history. Directed by the acclaimed Morgan Neville, known for his Oscar-winning work on *20 Feet from Stardom*, the documentary aims to give viewers a behind-the-scenes perspective on McCartney’s evolution as an artist.

The film is set to premiere this weekend at the Telluride Film Festival, marking a significant moment in McCartney’s ongoing storytelling. Amazon MGM describes *Man on the Run* as a deeply personal chronicle that explores how McCartney navigated the challenges of life after The Beatles, including the formation of Wings with his wife Linda. The documentary promises to take audiences on a revealing journey, showcasing rare footage and archival material that hasn’t been seen publicly before. It captures the emotional and creative highs and lows of McCartney’s solo career, emphasizing his resilience and ability to reinvent himself in a constantly changing musical landscape.

This release is part of a broader partnership among Paul McCartney, Universal Music Group, and Amazon, which will unfold over the coming year. The collaboration includes more than just the documentary; it also features exclusive music releases, merchandise available through Amazon Music, and McCartney’s own commentary on his career and artistry. This alliance aims to deepen fans’ connection with McCartney’s legacy by offering a rich mix of content, both visual and musical, across multiple platforms.

Coinciding with the documentary’s debut, McCartney is also preparing to release a new book titled *Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run*, available on Amazon and Audible starting November 4. Additionally, McCartney will be hitting the road for his *Got Back* tour across North America this fall, giving fans a chance to experience his live performances firsthand. The documentary’s theatrical release is planned for select cinemas, with a worldwide debut on Prime Video scheduled for February 25. It will be accessible in over 240 countries, allowing fans around the globe to get an up-close look at McCartney’s extraordinary journey.

In essence, *Man on the Run* offers a rare, heartfelt glimpse into Paul McCartney’s life after The Beatles — an era marked by artistic rebirth, perseverance, and the creation of some of his most enduring music. With the involvement of high-profile producers and the participation of McCartney himself as an executive producer, the documentary promises to be a compelling addition to the legacy of one of music’s most influential figures.
