Kelsey Parker has recently opened up about the emotional response from her late husband Tom’s mother when she shared the news of her pregnancy. The 34-year-old TV personality, who is expecting her first child with her new partner Will Lindsay, 27, revealed that the moment was both joyful and bittersweet. Tom, who passed away in March 2022 from brain cancer at the age of 33, and Kelsey had two children together, Aurelia (5) and Bodhi (4).
In an interview with *The Mirror*, Kelsey spoke about how Tom’s mother, Noreen, reacted to the news of her pregnancy. “Tom and I always talked about having four children, but life had other plans. So, while this news is wonderful, it’s also bittersweet,” Kelsey shared. “Noreen was incredibly supportive, giving me her blessing right away. She’s thrilled to be welcoming another grandchild into the family, and that’s all that matters to me – that both our families are happy.”
Kelsey also fondly described Noreen as an amazing woman, recounting how after Tom’s passing, Noreen assured her, “As long as you’re happy, Kels, we’ll always support you.” Reflecting on their shared experiences, Kelsey acknowledged the deep bond they formed through the difficult times they’ve faced together, noting that they’ve been through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Having started a relationship with tree surgeon Will last year, Kelsey shared that her new partner has gradually integrated into her life, living with her in the home she once shared with Tom and their children. The couple is currently keeping an open mind regarding the baby’s gender and has not yet decided whether they will learn the news, as it is waiting for them in an email.
Kelsey also spoke candidly about her hopes for a peaceful home birth, especially after her previous two deliveries, which were marked by emotional and physical challenges. Bodhi’s birth, in particular, was especially difficult for Kelsey, as she was 35 weeks pregnant when Tom was diagnosed with his brain tumor. Earlier this month, Kelsey revealed that a psychic had conveyed a message from Tom, urging her to find love again, suggesting that she should remove her wedding ring as a way of unblocking her future.
Throughout her journey, Kelsey has found solace in the support of loved ones, including Tom’s family, as she embraces this new chapter in her life.
