Westlife’s Shane Filan has opened up about the profound grief of losing both of his parents, Mae and Peter, to cancer within a span of just ten months. His mother, Mae, passed away from lung cancer in December 2019, and his father, Peter, succumbed to pancreatic cancer in October 2020. Reflecting on their deaths, Shane shared, “I miss them every day,” acknowledging the enduring pain of their absence. He described the loss as “very tough,” especially given how closely his parents were linked, having been together for 55 years.
