Global K-pop sensation BTS is officially making a comeback — and fans around the world couldn’t be more thrilled. The group has announced the end of their hiatus, confirming that a new full-group album will be released in spring 2026, followed by a massive world tour — their first in nearly four years.
The announcement came during a surprise livestream on Weverse, the fan community platform owned by their label, HYBE. It marked the first live appearance of all seven BTS members together — Jin, RM, V, Jimin, J-Hope, Jung Kook, and Suga — since September 2022.
“We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year,” the group said in a shared statement. “Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. This album is a true group effort and will reflect each of our thoughts and creativity. We’re going back to our roots, approaching it like we did at the very beginning.”
The news comes shortly after several members — including RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook — were officially discharged from South Korea’s mandatory military service. Jin and J-Hope completed their service in 2024, while Suga recently wrapped up his alternative service as a social service worker. With all members now out of the military, BTS is poised to return to full-force activity as a seven-member group.
This will be the group’s first studio project since 2022’s anthology album “Proof,” and the first official group album since 2020’s “BE.” The world tour, also kicking off in 2026, is expected to be a massive global event, reuniting the group with their ARMY fans across continents.
As of this month, BTS has begun preliminary recording and production work in the United States, preparing for what promises to be one of the biggest musical comebacks in recent years.
For fans who have waited patiently through the group’s individual projects and military service commitments, the countdown to BTS’s full reunion has officially begun.
