Rush’s long-awaited reunion tour just got even bigger. Following a massive outpouring of excitement from fans, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have announced an expanded run of 11 additional shows for their 2026 Fifty Something Tour—doubling the length of what was already one of the most anticipated tours in recent memory.
This marks Rush’s first major tour since the passing of their iconic drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart, and fans’ overwhelming enthusiasm has made clear just how much the band’s return means. The newly announced shows include extra nights in Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, and Toronto, along with an additional stop in Cleveland, extending their visit to each of these key cities. The tour also keeps its Mexico City performance as a special one-night event. Behind the drums, German virtuoso Anika Nilles will join Lee and Lifeson, taking on the monumental challenge of performing Rush’s complex catalog while paying tribute to Peart’s legacy.
Reflecting on the decision to reunite, Lee shared that the idea took shape during spontaneous jam sessions that rekindled their love for playing together. “We were laughing so hard and enjoying it so much—it was almost like playing those songs dispelled the dark clouds,” he said. Lifeson echoed that sentiment, explaining, “To be challenged with that again was really, really exciting. The more we rehearsed, the more I fell in love with the idea of performing again.”
The Fifty Something Tour will officially kick off on June 7, 2026, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles—a venue with deep emotional meaning for the band, as it hosted Rush’s final performance with Peart in 2015. Each show will feature two full sets drawn from a rotation of 35 songs spanning the band’s legendary career. Artist presales begin Monday, with general ticket sales opening October 17.
