Set for release on February 28, 2025, this deluxe edition promises a mix of nostalgia and fresh surprises — featuring rare live recordings, unreleased versions, and acoustic gems never officially available until now.
First released nearly four decades ago, Slippery When Wet catapulted Bon Jovi into international stardom with unforgettable anthems like “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and the acoustic power ballad “Wanted Dead or Alive.” The album went on to earn Diamond certification and remains one of the most iconic rock albums of the 1980s.
The upcoming deluxe edition adds depth and new dimension to the original tracklist. Fans can expect a stripped-down acoustic version of “Wanted Dead or Alive,” four electrifying live performances from the band’s 1987 Slippery When Wet tour, and never-before-heard mixes. Two live recordings — “Let It Rock” from Nassau Coliseum and “Wild in the Streets” from Cincinnati Gardens — make their debut here in their original form. Also included are exclusive remixes like the “Thank You Goodnight” version of “Livin’ on a Prayer,” previously heard only briefly in the band’s documentary series, and a rare extended mix of “Raise Your Hands” by producer Obie O’Brien.
